Research Integrity in RHD Training for Advisors
This interactive workshop, as part of the Maximising your RHD Advisory Skills series, is designed to guide advisors through the Research Integrity framework within which they will operate while at UQ. It will explain the basis of Research Conduct policies, the principle policies, the main obligations for advisors and students, and the key sources of support and guidance that are available. The session will address issues such as Conflict of Interest (COI), plagiarism and authorship, copyright issues, intellectual property, patents and trademarks. This will be followed by a case-study based discussion.
This course will enable participants to:
- Understand the principles behind research conduct policies, and the national and international codes which influence UQ
- Understand the policy framework within UQ
- Identify and discuss research integrity issues which commonly arise
- Identify the key sources of support and guidance for RHD students and advisors at UQ.
